Now, let’s get into the heart of this first post: an introduction to the studio and how it all began.

WigglyLines Studio is a small, independent, UK-based online shop dedicated to original art and photography prints – all designed and created by me, Alexandra (with a bit of mischief and help from my imaginary raccoon assistant, William).

The studio was born in the summer of 2025, shortly after I graduated from university with a degree in graphic design. With a head full of ideas and a heart full of creative ambition, I decided it was the perfect time to launch my own space where I could share my work and hopefully bring a little magic into other people’s lives.

As an artist, I’ve always carried that quiet longing to express myself in a way that connects with others. When it came time to build an identity for the shop, I began to wonder—what could truly represent me and this little creative corner I was building?

That’s when the fox came to mind.

I see foxes often in my garden, and there’s something about them that feels just right—charming, a little chaotic, and full of curiosity. They’re clever, agile, and quietly bold, just like the kind of creativity I hope to nurture here. So I made the fox the face of WigglyLines, complete with a tiny pencil in his mouth, always ready to sketch, scribble, and dream up something new. He’s a playful symbol of imagination and exploration, and a reminder to stay curious, think outside the box, and make space for a little whimsy.

A lovely reminder to inspire curiosity and foster a love for art in everyone who encounters it.

At WigglyLines, every piece of artwork has a story behind it. Each creation is an invitation to explore your own imagination—whether that’s through our dreamy illustrated prints or through photography that captures the beauty of everyday life. Right now, the photography is focused on my home city of Manchester, but as I travel (even if just occasionally), I plan to collect moments from everywhere I go. My illustrated prints come straight from the depths of my mind, shaped by fleeting inspiration from the world around me and the quiet thoughts I store away until the time feels right to draw them out.

This shop is still growing, and so is the collection. As time goes on, I hope to expand the range of products—prints, photos, and soon, stickers—and to welcome a growing community of people who want to come along for the journey. More than anything, I hope WigglyLines becomes a place where art can spark ideas, start conversations, and remind people that creativity belongs to everyone.

WigglyLines is more than just an art shop—it’s a little space I’m hoping to grow into a creative community. I’d love for it to be a place where both experienced artists and total beginners can hang out, share ideas, and just enjoy being creative together. Whether you're here to find art you love or to get inspired to make your own, you’re very welcome here.
