Miso

Miso insists on supervising every sunset from the window, just in case something interesting happens outside

Miso lives her life with the firm belief that nothing important should ever happen without her watching it.

Every evening, as the sky begins to change colour, she positions herself at the window like it is her official duty. She does not move much. She does not blink often. She simply observes — with the focused intensity of someone who suspects the world might be slightly unreliable when unsupervised.

She pretends to be mysterious.

She is, in fact, extremely invested.

Birds are of particular interest to her. Not in a casual way, but in a deeply analytical, almost strategic way. She watches them as though she is trying to decode their intentions.

Occasionally, she appears emotionally distant.

This is misleading.

The moment someone sits beside her quietly, she immediately becomes soft, warm, and loudly purring, as if she was never intimidating at all and definitely not planning anything suspicious five seconds ago.

Miso’s internal world is rich, dramatic, and slightly judgemental - but she prefers to keep most of it behind glass.

Notes from Observers

Miso is often described as:

  • “calm but clearly thinking something”

  • “emotionally unreadable until she suddenly isn’t”

  • “a tiny supervisor with strong opinions”

Despite her quiet nature, she is widely considered:

One of the most emotionally expressive creatures in the entire Wiggly Lines universe (just very selectively).

Winston tries to get her to chase things. She refuses, unless it is emotionally necessary.

Bernard appreciates her silence. Miso appreciates his stillness.

Olive is one of the few who can sit with Miso without disrupting her “sunset supervision protocol”

Miso watches Timothée pass by with the same expression she gives birds: mild concern, deep curiosity.
